Acting Editions

From Durang:

Most of my plays are published in “acting editions” by Dramatists Play Services; two are published by Concord Theatricals (formerly Samuel French).

Acting editions are thin paperbacks, designed for use in rehearsals.  They are usually a bit cheaper than the regular book store paperbacks.

Because these editions are meant for production use and you get them from the licensing publishers, I have in most cases added author’s notes to these volumes that are specifically geared to actors and directors putting on the plays.

Because of this, if you’re going to produce the plays, I hope you will get these editions in order to read some of these notes.
